This latest release offers an improved user interface with even more intuitive design, flexible installation modes* for usage in different environments and TV Tuner Cards support** for both analog and digital television entertainment. 

For those who are new to Linpus Media Center, it is a multimedia platform based on the Linpus Linux Embedded System with an easy-to-install and easy-to-use user interface. Linpus Media Center can quickly turn your computer into a home entertainment gateway and bring all kinds of digital media to you, including Audio CD, MP3, DVD/VCD, and digital photos. One of the key features offered by Linpus Media Center is its turn-key fast booting that allows you to enjoy your favorite digital media materials within 10 seconds without going through the hassle of starting Windows operating system and drowning in finding the right software application from the Windows menu.

As much we would like to offer Linpus Media Center Download Edition completely free with support to most popular media formats, however due to some proprietory and patented codec licensing restrictions we are not able to include some of these codecs in the free Download Edition. If you would like to play multimedia in ASF, DVD, MP3, WMA, WMV, MPEG2 formats as well as viewing DVB-T digital TV, you would need to purchase the Upgrade Pack for Download Edition from Linpus Online Store. Your payment will buy you not just a better multimedia support, but also our technical support service.
