Linpus’ Moblin V2 Enhanced Version Offers Improved Social Networking Applications and Power Management
San Francisco, California, September 22, 2009 – Today, Linpus Technologies, Inc. released their Moblin V2 Enhanced product, an optimized open source Linux operating system project for rich Internet and media experiences on Intel® Atom™ processor based devices.
In Linpus’ version the Moblin UI has been enhanced to improve the delivery of your key online information. The right side of M-Zone is designed to send live new tweets, messages and photos from your favorite social networking sites such as Twitter, Flickr, Myspace and Last.FM. In Moblin all this information flows through one tab, Linpus has redesigned this so that each of your social networking sites has their own tab making it better organized and easier to use. Linpus has also added a module that that delivers the latest emails from your webmail accounts meaning you don’t have to kept opening these sites and also can find your different webmail accounts through one module.

Linpus has also made a number of other improvements:
a)Linpus led the way on creating suspend and sleep modes for Moblin and have integrated a power manager with support for auto-suspend
b)Boot time has been reduced by 26%.
c)A network manager with support for 3G, WLAN, and LAN connectivity.
d)Our LiveUpdate function to deliver patches, upgrades and new applications to your system, and a power manager with auto-suspend support.
e)Dual booting enhancements.
In the last case we have a number of applications to encourage adoption. If users want to dual boot with Windows our PIM Sync and Folder Sync applications were created to help the sharing of key information between the two systems. In the case of PIM Sync, it copies your email and calendar information from Outlook, and, in the case of Folder Sync you are able to copy important files, music and videos to Linpus Linux Lite.
