Linpus Lite Distro gives more installation options and revamps App Center in latest releases

Taipei, May 7th – Linpus, a leader in the field of Linux software in the bundle market, has recently been aggressively updating the latest version of its distro, Linux Lite. These updates are part of a regular program of updates designed to give Linpus Lite users an improving user experience - and to make sure it has the best possible performance on all new hardware coming out before Linpus Lite 2.0 in the second half of this year. 

In these latest updates, Linpus has added a number of new features and enhancements.

This latest update includes a major overhaul of the App Center with: large increase in the number of apps, especially web apps; improved UX and user reviews; and faster response and download times. In addition, there is also more font packages, support now for Dropbox in the file browser, and now EWS web server support in the Thunderbird 17 mail client. 

Previously, Linpus added full DVD ISO image and Live USB versions; Linux Kernel, 3.7.10, for better hardware support; support for Realtek 5229 card reader, Broadcom 43142 wifi, and Intel i915 graphic driver 3.8rc2; better support for Intel graphics adapters; and a number of UX and application enhancements. Of particular note, is the extensive improvements made to the input method application: support is now available for the keyboard layouts of 37 languages - and for Chinese input several Gnome issues have been solved including when typing in the Gnome search menu.
