Beijing, China, April 13-14th 2010 – As a key operating system vendor in the MeeGo™ project, Linpus has been invited to have a booth in the MeeGo community of Intel Developer Forum (IDF) Beijing's technology showcase, taking place at the China National Convention Center, Beijing from April 13th to 14th.

MeeGo is the recent merger of two open source projects: Maemo from Nokia and Moblin, which was sponsored by Intel. MeeGo is said by both parties to incorporate the benefits of both projects, notably the Moblin stack and QT from Nokia. One of the keys to the success of a software platform and product in recent years has been the available of rich applications. QT is a cross-platform toolkit which should further accelerate the growth of a sophisticated application ecosystem.

Linpus has been a key player in Moblin (now MeeGo) for more than two years. It has worked closely with Intel and is one of the few software vendors to have successfully shipped a commercial version of Moblin, bundled with several large OEMs.

At IDF Beijing Linpus will be showing the latest edition of its flagship netbook and internet centric operating system, Linpus Lite. Linpus Lite's easy-to-use tab and icons menus have been reworked to give you the choice to completely organize your applications, your way. You can: add three extra tabs; rename all tabs; add new icons; and move all applications around by dragging and dropping. It will also be showing its version of Linpus Lite with MeeGo-based user interface and its instant-on solution, Linpus QuickOS.
