Las Vegas, Nevada, December 31st 2009 – As a key operating system vendor in the Moblin™ project, Linpus will be displaying a version of its Linpus Lite operating system with Moblin - based technology at the Intel booth. The Moblin project is an optimized open source Linux operating system project for rich Internet and media experiences on Intel® Atom™ processor based devices.

Linpus has been a key member of the Moblin project since 2007, creating the first Moblin-based operating system used in a commercial product. It has since staying ahead of the curve so that its version of Linpus Lite with Moblin - based technology incorporates the specifications of the latest release. The success of Linpus Lite having been bundled with many of the world's leading OEM and ODM manufacturers; its close working relationship with Intel, and its expertise in the Moblin project, has made it a regular in the Moblin project booth at IDF, Computex and OSIM, among other events.

“We have worked really hard to make our own enhancements,” said Rita Jing, vice-president sales at Linpus. “We believe strongly in the Moblin project and relish this opportunity to show our contributions.”

Linpus' version has been enhanced the delivery of key online information. The right side of M-Zone is designed to send live new tweets, messages and photos from your favorite social networking sites such as Twitter, Flickr, Myspace and Last.FM. In Moblin, all this information flows through one tab. Linpus has redesigned this so that each social networking site has its own tab. Linpus has also added a module that that delivers the latest emails from different webmail accounts.

Linpus has also made a number of other improvements:
a)A robust, commercial LiveUpdate function that can deliver device and manufacturer specific updates.
b)To the network manager we have added support for numerous 3G modems, WLAN, VPN, and LAN connectivity.
c)Third party software such as OpenOffice
d)Support for nettop resolutions.
e)Dual booting enhancements.

In the last case, Linpus’ Moblin V2 Enhanced Version has a number of applications to encourage adoption. If users want to dual boot with Windows, our PIM Sync and Folder Sync applications were created to help the sharing of key information between the two systems. PIM Sync copies email and calendar information from Outlook, and Folder Sync copies important files, music and videos to Linpus Linux Lite.

Linpus is working with a number of OEMs and ODMs to deliver Linpus Linux Lite to a range of customers in multiple industry segments.
